I’ve learned that history cannot escape the sovereignty of God.
I’ve learned that in marriage it’s not about our “mere” happiness, but primarily it’s about the glory of God and our joy in Him.
I’ve learned that my brothers and sisters in Christ are a gift to me from God.
I’ve learned that God really hears the prayers of His people.
I’ve learned to not judge a “book” by its cover.
I’ve learned that I’m not able to change people in my own strength.
I’ve learned that life is not about me (daily learning).
I’ve learned that dancing can indeed refresh the soul.
I’ve learned that the gospel of Jesus is needed every day and every second.
I’ve learned that we should read our Bibles even when we don’t feel like it.
I’ve learned that if we receive more than we give, our souls will sour.
I’ve learned that the glory of God is not separate from the joy of His people.
I’ve learned that my “feelings” can deceive me. When I “feel” I’m right, 6 to 7 times out of 10 I’m wrong.
I’ve learned that godly counsel is needed for every Christian.
I’ve learned that sin is nothing to play with. Christian or non Christian.
I’ve learned that everything profitable for now and forever must come from and through Jesus.
I’ve learned that without the Spirit the cross of Jesus is foolish to me.
I’ve learned that the Holy Spirit will not let God’s people consistently enjoy something that will eventually turn them and keep them away from Jesus.
I’ve learned that the best time to drink coffee in the morning is after 9am and before 12pm.
I’ve learned that exercise is not only good for the body, but it’s also good for the soul.
I’ve learned that hard work does pay off.
I’ve learned that love is not merely about what you say, but most importantly, it’s about what you do.
I’ve learned that laziness can eat at the soul if not gripped and applied by/with holy conviction.
I’ve learned that a dream will not become a reality while merely day dreaming about it.
I’ve learned that it’s very important to have the taste and pursuit of discipline at a young age.
I’ve learned the joy and beauty of being amazed at the work of God in all He does.
I’ve learned the beauty and joy of being amazed at God for being God.
I’ve learned that God’s image bearers are amazing, and that we all need to be amazed at the glory of God.
I’ve learned that when God saves sinners through and by the gospel of Jesus His love is irresistible.
I’ve learned that being on the Narrow Road is not automatic, the Christian (by grace through faith) must daily fight to fear the LORD, keep in step with the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ in order to remain a Christian (Not saying the Christian can lose his or her salvation, but to be sure it’s there, they must daily fight in this way). Grace.
I’ve learned that life can be enjoyed without apology only through the love of God, by the Spirit, in and through Jesus.
By God's grace I'm still learning.
